Jimmy McNicholas Memorial Scholarship

The Jimmy McNicholas Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to an eighth grader who plans to attend Jimmy’s alma mater, Albertus Magnus High School.

Jimmy had such a love for life, and always put his family and friends before himself. We want to award the scholarship to an individual who lives as Jimmy did, by making the most out of every day and by showing those who meant so much to him how much he loved them at every opportunity. Jimmy had a smile that could light up a room, and an infectious laugh. We hope that the recipient of this scholarship will also have that spark. We want to reward a student who plans on making Albertus Magnus a better place through their relationships, actions and smile.

Further criteria and applications for the Scholarship can be found by contacting Albertus Magnus High School.

Christine O’Riordan, a 2010 graduate of St. Gregory Barbarigo School, was awarded the first annual “Jimmy McNicholas Memorial Scholarship”. She will attend Albertus Magnus High School in the fall of 2010. Christine is an honor student and was a member of the St. Gregory 7th grade girls’ basketball team that won the State Championship in 2009.

Christine is very excited about entering high school and is very honored to have been given this scholarship.
